MINISTER of Finance Snyder Rini yesterday clarified that the recruitment of essential top posts are continuing despite government's recent recruitment freeze.
Mr Rini was responding to a question by the deputy Opposition leader Japhet Waipora who asked about government's plan recruitment to recruit a new Commissioner of Inland Revenue and its deputy.
The finance minister said the two posts are essential for the government and must be filled.
"Only posts with ordinary administrative positions are being suspended but not top positions which are essential for the government," he said.
He said this is the same for any government ministries which the government sees fit to be filled immediately.
