A total of eight reports has been tabled in parliament yesterday.
Parliament reconvened yesterday after a two week break during which Members of Parliament had attended an induction program.
Among the report's tabled yesterday was the Annual Report of the Auditor General for 2009 and seven reports and policy documents from the Agriculture and Livestock Ministry.
Tabled reports from the Agriculture Ministry includes Annual Reports for the year's 2008 and 2009; a National Agriculture and Livestock Sector Policy for the period of 2009 to 2014; the Ministry's Corporate Plan for the period of 2009 to 2010; the National Rice Sector Policy for 2010 to 2015; the Solomon Islands Government Policy on Organic Agriculture Systems and the National Food Security, Food Safety and Nutrition Security Policy 2010 to 2015.
Meanwhile, Speaker to National Parliament Sir Allan Kemakeza announced that more than 18 questions have been tabled by Members of Parliament for the current parliament meeting.
Sir Allan Kemakeza made the announcement to clarify order of questions during a parliamentary question and answer session yesterday morning.
The Speaker also announced that due to the high number of questions coming into his office, the Office of the Clerk to Parliament has allocated that four questions be asked per day during the current parliament sitting.
