The defamation case against Prime Minister Danny Philip and his former press secretary Alfred Sasako will go before court on 14th april 2011.
This is confirmed by the High Court registry office yesterday. A statement from the office of the registry said that the case was filed on Febuary 15.
A statement from the opposition office stated that the defamation case was filed last month by the deputy Opposition leader Matthew Wale.
This was after the Government in what they described as a "top intelligence report" in a six page word document pointed fingers at RAMSI and Australia as the major players behind what the Government called the Opposition's conspiracy in trying to topple the Danny Philip led Government.
The Opposition leader was pin-point as the main man behind the conspiracy to overthrow the Danny Philip led regime allegedly using Australia's name to lure politicians from the Government to join the Opposition
The report also claimed Australia also offered money to MPs if they agree to defect to the Opposition and said certain court cases were rigged.
A spokesman from the High Court registry said the case would go before the court but only for mentioning. The spokesman said there was still no listing of who would be representing both parties.
