The Central Malaita Students Association (CMSA) is a multi-dialect and cultural Student Group Consisting of students from Kwara’ae, Langalanga, Kwai and Ngongosila, Malaita Outer Islands, Kwaio and Fataleka. Our vision and objective is to protect the norms and cultural values of our members while at the same time we enhance our academic knowledge and skills towards the promotion of development and the improvement of living standards in our respective regions.

Guadalcanal province committed on peace and reconcillation

The Guadalcanal Province is committed to foster and facilitate reconcilation between the national Government and the people of Guadalcanal and Malaita and other parts of Solomon Islands.
This was according to the recent launched of Guadalcanal provincial government policy framework 2011-2015.The framework underlines the Governments Rural Regional Development and Emplowerment's (GRRDE)commitment to achieve peace and reconcilation process in the country.
It stated the effeects of the ethnic tension are still evident on Guadalcanal and in some parts of Solomon Islands. The effects of the crisis have caused many socio-cultural and economic peoples in the rural communities and many young people are still disoriented according to the framework.
"The problems and challenges are complex and that to achieve a more meaningful reconcilation and lasting peace for a sustainable future, we need to developed an integrated approach to reconciliation and peace building."
It says an approach that would recognised people's resourcefulness and abilities and to make positive contributions towards sustainable peaceful living.
