JAILED Member of Parliament (MP) for North Malaita and former Minister for Fisheries Jimmy Lusibaea will today have his bail application heard at the High Court.
The bail application is listed for 2pm today at the High Court.
Public Prosecutor Mathew Coates yesterday confirmed being aware of the matter listed for today.
He however said that he wasn’t sure if Mr Lusibaea will appear in court or only his lawyer will present the bail application on his behalf.
Attempts to talk to Mr Lusibaea’s lawyer, Robert Cavanaugh weren’t successful yesterday.
Mr Lusibaea will be appealing against his two years nine months sentence.
He was jailed for unlawful wounding and one count for assaulting a Police Officer on the head with a pistol butt on September 1, 2000 during the height of the ethnic tension.
