Papua New Guineans living in Solomon Islands celebrated their country’s 35th independence anniversary yesterday at Lawson Tama.
The flag raising ceremony which began at 8am yesterday, saw the PNG Defence Force Personnel of RAMSI participating in the parade.
The event organised by the PNG-SI community was well planned, and hundreds of PNG nationals, working and living in Honiara, attended the ceremony.
The celebrations ended late last night at Sea King restaurant with the PNG Independence ball.
